Alessandro D'Aiutolo: winner of the

On March 9, 2000, Alessandro D'Aiutolo was born in Mercato San Severino, a small town in the province of Salerno. In 2010, he began his artistic journey at a small dance school in his hometown, where he studied ballet and modern jazz. At the age of 15, he made his first stage appearance with the amateur theatre company "AlfaOMega."

At the age of 16, he made his debut as a choreographer for the "Mediterranean Archaeological Tourism Exchange" - a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the young man.

At the age of 17, he was awarded a scholarship to the "International Group of 8," an intensive dance campus in Saint-Cyprien, France, where he had the opportunity to study with renowned dancers such as Martine Matto, wife of Matt Mattox, the founder of one of the main Modern-Jazz techniques. Subsequently he was introduced to Antonella Perazzo, who offered him a scholarship for the "Creation Experience" in Policasto Bussentino, Italy. There, he took part in a week of advanced choreographic training, working with influential choreographers to create three different dance style performances.

He received a new scholarship at the end of this workshop for an innovative professional training programme in performing arts organised by the Association of Italian Dancers in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. This experience gave him the opportunity to study with well-known masters such as Giacomo Molinari, Vinicio Mainini, Paola Papadia, Ludovic Party, Damiano Bisozzi, and many others. The following year, as part of "The Movement," an initiative under the artistic direction of Giacomo Molinari, he performed in several shows directed by choreographers such as Damiano Bisozzi, Ilaria Monti, Aurora Pica, Giacomo Molinari, and Vinicio Mainini.

In 2019, he worked as a performer at Disneyland Paris for three months, immersing himself in the world of contemporary dance and working closely with renowned dance instructors. This gave him the freedom to create his own style based on floorwork and relaxation techniques.

In 2020, he wrote and choreographed two shows, "Hands" and "Oltre," both for "The Movement," which was still under the direction of Giacomo Molinari.

He had already won the award for best choreographic talent at the "Ballet-ex" competition organised by the eponymous Roman company founded by Luisa Signaler before winning the Special Prize from the Cuomo Foundation at the 2023 Italian "Premio Roma Danza."

Alessandro D'Aiutolo's ambitions include choreographing shows, collaborating with renowned directors and professional dancers, and touring in Italy and abroad. He admits, however, that establishing himself in the artistic field can be difficult due to financial constraints and often intense international competition. Nonetheless, his determination to achieve his goals is unwavering. He is confident that with perseverance, ongoing commitment, hard work, and patron support, he will achieve his goals.
