The Japanese pianist Ryoma Takagi was announced the winner of the Grand Chopin Prize at the award ceremony and concert of the 26th Roma international Piano competition held on Nov 7th at the Teatro Gassman-Vittorio Gassman in Rome. At the age of 11 years old and already a musical prodigy he won the Section B prize of the Roma competition reserved for participants below 20 years of age.

Daniia Khaibullina from Russia won the 2nd prize and Hao Zi Yoh, the very first participant from Malaysia to the piano competition, was awarded the 3rd prize. The Foundation has been the main supporter of this prestigious classical musical event since 2004.
